“Beauty and the Beast” just got a Britney Spears makeover and it is fierce!
Never in my life have I ever been like, “Do you know what Disney classic Beauty and the Beast is missing? Britney Spears.”
But now that I know what a Britney spin on Beauty and the Beast is like, I can never go back.
Todrick Hall, the musical theater genius of YouTube fame, has just rolled out another masterpiece in this Britney Spears remix of the Beauty and the Beast musical.
Britney and the Beast
Britney/Belle is played by Brittanie Brant, who has an incredible Britney-sounding voice. She opens in her “quiet village” – but instead of singing the classic opening theme to Beauty and the Beast, in this version she opens with, “Overprotected,” and it’s pure slayage from the start.
Also, shirtless Gaston dancing to “Work Bitch” is everything, but him singing “Oops!… I did it again,” is unsettling, to put it mildly.
The “Stronger” finale legit gave me chills.
