Zooey Deschanel’s baby girl’s first words are SO RELATABLE
The main reason the world fell in love with Zooey Deschanel‘s role as Jessica Day in New Girl (and Zooey IRL) is that she’s adorably and awkwardly relatable. She makes occasional attempts to be smooth and chill, but ultimately settles comfortably into the awesomely un-smooth person she is.
So it’s not at all surprising that Deschanel’s one-year-old daughter, Elsie Otter is already proving to be just as relatable as her mom. In her recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Deschanel revealed some of her daughter’s first words, and one of them is “cheese.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZ3muJhBTao
*Cue collective gasps and praise hands emojis.*
She told Kimmel that her husband (Jacob Pechenik), taught her how to say “cheese” since she loves eating it so much. And that very morning, when she went to check on Elsie, she was already asking for more cheese, even though the room was still dark and she hadn’t started her day yet.
Elsie, girl. We feel you.
Her other first words include, “bubble,” “Mom,” and “Dad” but obviously the most important word is the one that’s food-related, right?
There are many reasons to be excited for and mildly jealous of the life Elsie Otter has in front of her, especially since she will have full access to mama Zooey’s closet, but mainly because she already understands the value of the greatest food in the world.
There are so many cheeses she has yet to eat. So many cheesy puns she hasn’t yet heard.
Elsie, the world is yours to conquer. And clearly your life is gonna brie grate.
