Zooey Deschanel shares what accessory baby Elsie loves best, and awww
She’s barely a year old, but Zooey Deschanel’s daughter already has a favorite fashion accessory. The actress stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show to promote her new movie, Trolls, and give us the cutest update on her baby girl, Elsie.
"She is really special. She says a lot of words but she's really obsessed with hats right now. My mom wears hats a lot and we had dinner with her and as soon as my mom came out, my daughter said, ‘hat! hat!'" the New Girl star (and director for season 6) told Ellen.
Seriously, could that be any more adorable?
Zooey stars with Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick in the new DreamWorks animated movie, Trolls. Their colorful group of characters have to rescue their friends from the Bergens, whose favorite midnight snack happens to be trolls.

The characters in the movie are based on the real-life dolls with colorful bodies and crazy hair, created by Thomas Dam.
The perks of doing an animated film, according to Zooey? (Besides working alongside Justin Timberlake.) Voice-acting is so much less work.
"I love it. I don't have to put on makeup or dress up," Zooey told Ellen.
