Introducing wax Zoella: Zoe Sugg earns a spot in Madam Tussauds.

Vlogging has become one of the biggest forces on the Internet in recent years, making celebrities and helping people forge communities around common interests. The line between “Internet famous” and “actually famous” has blurred more and more in recent years. People who rose to fame on the great wide web have started popping up in movies and on TV shows and magazine covers and celebrities to made names for themselves in traditional media have launched online communities and YouTube channels of their own.

But there was still at least one mark of fame that Internet personalities had yet to acquire: The likeness of one of their own at Madame Tussauds wax museum. Now, however, that barrier has officially been crossed.

Zoe Sugg (or Zoella) and Alfie Deyes, YouTubers based in the UK, not only have their own wax figures. They are set in a replica of the bedroom where they shoot many of their videos, complete with stuffed animal and string lights. Soon, a wax sculpture of their puppy, Nala, will be joining them as well. Fans can hop up on the bed to snap pictures with the YouTube stars in their natural habitat.

Zoe’s channel reaches millions of viewers with videos ranging from makeup and hair tutorials to random silly challenges, like having Alfie do her makeup for her. She currently has over 9.2 million subscribers from around the world!

“I’m so happy that YouTube as a platform is growing,” Deyes told Digital Spy. “And I feel it will open them up to a larger pool of people and experiences. It’s very easy when you’re in school or college or work to just stick with very similar people to yourself. Opening up your experiences is such a positive thing, and I really believe social media does that.”

This is one small step for Zoe and Alfie, but one giant leap for YouTubers everywhere. Congratulations — now we can’t wait to see a video filmed with your wax figures.
