Zendaya tried the viral Japanese foot peel and grossed herself out
Of all the outrageous, viral beauty trends on the internet, Baby Foot’s one of the most polarizing… yet effective. Like most viral beauty trends, eerie photos and reviews are not enough to keep most people at bay. And apparently, that includes one of our fave starlets. Zendaya decided to try out the Japanese foot peel for herself and, well, she had a pretty reasonable reaction to what happened next.
“I recently bought this foot peel because I have rough ass feet,” the 20-year-old recounted on her website.
"I tried it and was like, 'This is bullsh*t,' because nothing happened. Then a couple weeks later, I was like, 'What the f*#k is wrong with my feet!?' They looked a mess and were seriously peeling like crazy."
Okay, not to ruin anyone’s appetite, but if you’re unfamiliar with how the miracle foot peel works, just take a gander at the photos below.
Again: brace yourselves, folks!
Basically, instead of sloughing off dead feet skin the old fashioned way (i.e. with a pumice stone or some other tool reminiscent of a cheese grater), Baby Foot treats callouses and cracked soles by gently peeling them away with a combination of salicylic acid, glycolic acid, and botanical extracts. The hardcore exfoliation isn’t instantaneous, however, and takes a hot second to start working.
Zendaya did mention the results, saying,
"But, it was actually great. It worked really well and my feet were so smooth after!"
“I’d show you [pictures], but you’d probably throw up!” she quipped.
We’ve all been there, girl!

So if you’re like Zendaya (and the rest of the human race) and periodically suffer from less-than-perfect feet, we’d suggest giving this viral foot peel a go on your toes. The lavender-scented contraption is easy to use, too. Instead of a scrub or lotion, Baby Foot is a sock-like device. Just cut a hole, slip your foot in, soak for an hour or so, and let the magic happen over the course of a few days.
And Zendaya — no worries about your reaction. We freak every time we see our feet peel, too!
