We are always on board with style choices that break the mold. So when we caught wind of Zendaya attending the Teen Choice Awards in a sparkly pajama outfit, it got our stamp of approval. When Zendaya won the Choice Summer Movie actress surfboard for her role as MJ in Spider-man: Homecomingshe was dressed from head-to-toe in a striped pajama-inspired two-piece created by the designer Ashish.
The glittery outfit first appeared on the runway as part of Ashish’s fall looks for Men, but Zendaya pulled it off with a pair of stiletto heels.
Even the heels are glittery, which we love.
Zendaya not only stayed true to her pattern of dressing well but also addressed the white supremacist violence in Charlottesville in her speech.
While accepting her award, Zendaya directed teens and young people to step up in light of the uptick in violent racism.
"With all the injustice and the hatred and everything that's happened not only in the world but in our country right now, I need for you young people, I need you guys to be educated. I need you to listen. I need you to pay attention."
