Zendaya recreated that epic ‘Dirty Dancing’ scene and totally nailed it
When she’s not busy speaking up for feminism, expertly shutting down trolls or killing her latest film role, Zendaya still finds time to add to the list of reasons why we totally adore her. Over the weekend, the 20-year-old actress recreated a scene Dirty Dancing on the streets of New York with the help of her trainer Mike Aidala, who served as the Patrick Swayze to her Jennifer Grey.
“We poppin in these NY streets?,” Zendaya captioned the photo of herself and Aidala mimicking the movie’s famous lift scene. Aside from Zendaya’s flawless mid-air form, what makes this feat even more impressive is the fact that this photo was snapped after a workout, proving that once again, Zendaya is the Queen of Slaying All Things.
Werk it, Zendaya. We’re more than confident that the original Dirty Dancing duo would totally approve. If these character re-creation skills are any indication of how Zendaya’s portrayal of Spider-Man Homecoming‘s Mary Jane Watson will be, we expect it to be nothing short of amazing.
