Zendaya did her own makeup and hair for a red carpet event, and what CAN’T this woman do?
No matter how big a star might be, getting ready for the red carpet can be nerve-wracking. Which is why most celebs enlist a hair and makeup team to help them look their best. However, Zendaya took matters into her own hands and did her own hair and makeup for the GQ Men of The Year event.
While this isn’t the first time Zendaya has put her makeup and hair skills to good use—she’s filmed YouTube tutorials of her lewks before—she slayed the GQ event. For her hair, she rocked a slicked-back, “wet” hairstyle, which might look simple to do but is actually hard to pull off. As for her makeup, Zendaya opted for her signature smoky eye (she threw in some purple and pink shadows that matched her dress), bronzy cheeks, and glossy lips.
Zendaya shared several photos of herself getting ready for the GQ Men of The Year Awards on Wednesday night (September 5th).
In her glam Instagram photo, she shared a little detail that we all might’ve missed if she didn’t point it out, writing, “(fun fact: I did my own h&mu tonight, hence the lipgloss still in hand).” That’s right. If you look closely, you’ll see that she’s still holding onto her gloss.
We can’t wait to see what hair and makeup Zendaya cooks up next, because one thing is clear, she knows what she’s doing.
