Zendaya is a “Barbie Girl” in this thigh-high slit gown, and it’s fantastic

We’ve said it once and we’ll say it again: Zendaya is the style icon we always needed. The actress knows how to push the envelope without losing her personal style in the process, teaching us again and again that fashion as self-expression is something that will never go out of style.

Whether she’s wearing bright pink curls, a couple of flamingos on her sweater, or a Barbie pink dress with a sexy high slit, Zendaya always looks like a glamazon. And in the case of the latter, she also looks like a Barbie girl in a Barbie world at the premiere of Spider-Man: Homecoming. 

First off, the color of this Ralph & Russo dress is unbelievable. It’s Barbie pink: bright, bold, unapologetic, and a lot like Zendaya. The airy gown features a thigh-high slit, the most luxurious cape and train, and a plunging asymmetrical neckline with an attached choker.

We would never have expected that a hue this vibrant could be so elegant.

This is the dress we’d wear if we were *actually* Barbie, and getting married to Ken in Malibu. By completing her look with matching pink pumps and her brown hair in loose curls, Zendaya proves she can be both a portrait of glamor and ’90s nostalgia.
