Zayn Malik is a mysterious force of nature. Almost everything he does leaves us asking, “What does it mean?” as we stare into the void. The former One Direction member’s new tattoo is no different. Once again, Zayn’s ink has left the internet with a slew of questions.
Yesterday, Zayn posted a photo of his new tat on Instagram. It’s simple lettering, “S G T,” with “2 4 17” inked underneath. Upon first glance, we thought it was done in the Game of Thrones font. But sadly, we now know that this tattoo does not symbolize a tie between our fave singer and our fave TV show.

We certainly weren’t the only ones who were baffled by the ink’s meaning.

Finally, fans figured out that the tattoo must stand for Zayn’s collaborative single with PARTYNEXTDOOR, “Still Got Time.” And perhaps the numbers stand for yesterday’s date, the 2nd of April, 2017. Makes sense to us!

“Still Got Time” was released at the end of March and its lyric video already has over 6 million views. It’s on its way to being the bop of the spring season.
Zayn’s collaboration with Taylor Swift, “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever,” appearing on the Fifty Shades Darker soundtrack, is now in the number 3 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 list. And according to Seventeen, Zayn might have a collaboration in the works with none other than Justin Bieber.
