Zayn Malik shared a sour AF post on Instagram, and people are convinced it’s about his breakup with Gigi Hadid
Well, the unthinkable has happened: Extremely adorable couple Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid have officially broken up. The two have been dating for two years, and their relationship has always come across as stable, loving, and basically kind of perfect. You wouldn’t think that they would get sassy with each other on social media, but breakups have a way of doing that to people. Already, Malik has shared a sour AF post on Instagram, and people are convinced it’s about his breakup with Hadid. Yikes.
We’ve heard rumors that the now ex-couple had split a while ago, but we didn’t want to believe it until they confirmed it themselves. Today, March 13th, Hadid, 22, and Malik, 25, used social media to let fans know that things are over — which isn’t surprising, considering these two have been open about their relationship online pretty much since they first started dating.
We’re going to miss their sweet photos together and the almost too cute-for-words captions they wrote. Instagram just won’t be the same.
This afternoon, Hadid and Malik confirmed what fans feared was true with two separate posts on their Twitter accounts.

Their messages came across as respectful, sad, and full of love, even if things ultimately didn’t work out between them. So mature! So understanding! We read them wondering why every single breakup couldn’t be this civil and lovely. But then we noticed that Malik had posted something else on Instagram…and we’re pretty sure it was a better clue toward his true feelings. Check out the post, which speaks for itself:

Sure, it seems innocent enough, but some people think it has a thinly veiled message, especially since Malik’s tattoo of Hadid’s eyes is front and center. Maybe it’s a jab at Hadid for the way things ended…or why they ended? It doesn’t help that Malik already unfollowed her on Instagram.
Of course, this is all speculation and the post could have to do with something else entirely. But Twitter users think it was a little shady: false
