The perfect way to ring in the new year? With a selfie, of course. Cute couple Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid snapped a selfie to celebrate 2017 (and their relationship) and it’s actually pretty cool. While Instagram can make any photo a work of art, it’s obvious that the two definitely put some thought into this particular shot.
Those of you who follow Zayn Malik — the musician who was formerly a member of One Direction — might know that all of the pictures he shares have one thing in common. They’re all in black and white. Being that he’s a true creative, it makes sense that he’d put the time and dedication into his Instagram account.

Known by a few fans as “Zigi,” Malik and Hadid made their relationship official to the public last February. There was news of a split in June, but from the looks of it, things are back on — and better than ever.
These two are so into each other, that there’s rumors floating around that Malik might have even named a shoe after his lady love. Working with Giuseppe Zanotti on a line of footwear, there’s one bootie in question that’s called “Zigi.” Maybe it’s inspired by Hadid? Maybe it’s a total coincidence? Who knows.
We’re hoping that Malik and Hadid continue to stay strong throughout the year. They truly are a cute couple, and the Instagram photo proves that they’ve got quite a connection!
