You need to see Zachary Quinto’s touching tribute to Anton Yelchin on “The Late Show”

After the tragic sudden death of Anton Yelchin, the actor who played Pavel Chekov on Star Trek‘s reboot series, on June 19, the mood surrounding the upcoming Star Trek Beyond movie (set to release July 22) has become far more serious. Anton was killed in a freak accident that could have been caused by his Jeep’s transmission.

Zachary Quinto, aka Spock in the reboot, recently appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and had some very touching words to say about the late actor.

“I don’t even know how to talk about it,” Zachary told Stephen. “We already knew this was going to be a bittersweet experience as a result of the loss of Leonard [Nimoy, who died in February 2015[. But this has been absolutely devastating for all of us. I think our goal just has to be to celebrate his incredible life and honor him. It was a terrible loss, not only to us but to audiences and the industry.”

“We are truly and inextricably entwined and I think we always will be,” Zachary said about the Star Trek cast. Surely the many fans who flock to theaters to see the new film will keep Anton’s memory alive. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=
