The latest picture from Zac Efron’s serial killer movie has him smoldering and scheming
Prepare to feel very conflicted, because Zac Efron just posted another photo from his upcoming Ted Bundy movie and it’s pretty unsettling.
It goes without saying that Zac Efron is one of the most gorgeous human beings on the face of the Earth. For over a decade, he’s been charming us with that smile, those eyes, and by playing an insane amount of generally likable, harmless guys in a wide range of films. But after dazzling us in The Greatest Showman, Efron has officially switched gears and is currently filming Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, where he plays one of the United States’ most notorious serial killers.
This is going to come a surprise to longtime Efron stans, but based on the photos from set, we have a feeling you’re probably not going to be able to find Efron attractive while watching this movie. We know, it’s a bold statement, but somehow we think it’s true.
In this new behind-the-scenes shot, the Baywatch star is chatting with director Joe Berlinger. But in costume as Bundy, it looks like there’s a bit of a manic look in his eye:

Extremely Wicked follows the infamous story of serial killer Ted Bundy, from his killings and capture to the trial and sentencing, from the perspective of Bundy’s girlfriend, Elizabeth Kloepfer (Lily Collins), who was completely in the dark regarding his nefarious and horrific crimes. John Malkovich, Jeffrey Donovan, and Angela Sarafyan also star in the film.
This latest post is our second glimpse at Efron as Bundy. Earlier in January, Efron posted a first look at his character, which appears to feature Bundy posing for his mugshot after finally being captured.
These photos are definitely a bit unnerving.
We’re curious to see Efron take on a very different role than what we’ve become familiar with but based on these photos, we’re going to be absolutely horrified — with his character, that is.
