If you’re not quite into the bra insert as beauty blender trend, this tutorial will back you up

If you, like some of us, are a little bit hesitant to try the weird beauty blender hacks that some of our faves totally swear by, we feel you. Like, honestly, the many strange beauty blender alternatives, like when Huda Beauty made a bra as a makeup sponge go *so* viral, or really any other beauty blender hacks, just go straight over our heads. What can we say? We’re just not that adventurous when it comes to something we’re putting on our face that seriously impacts how our makeup looks! Luckily, we finally have the perfect excuse for side-stepping the bra insert as beauty blender trend.

Beauty Instagrammer and makeup artist @makeupemalii, aka Emalii, gave the bra insert as beauty blender trend a shot, and things didn’t go exactly as planned.

"Using a bra insert as a beauty blender 😱😱😱😱 I saw both @hudabeauty and @nikkietutorials do this and I thought I would try it for you guys 😂"

It seems like it went pretty okay, right? Wrong. Unfortunately, things didn’t work out as positively as the makeup artist wished! She ended up editing her Instagram post to give us the inside scoop on how things actually went down with the bra insert as beauty blender trend.

"EDIT: just to let everyone know, this DID NOT WORK. I didn't like it at all. 🙅 the foundation was streaky and uneven. It also took FOREVER to make it look decent."

But not everyone feels the same way.

Some makeup gurus, like @HudaBeauty, really did seem to have an easier time with this hack.

And here’s how things went down for fellow makeup inspiration @NikkieTutorials.

So what’s the verdict? We don’t know about you, but we’ll be leaving this beauty trend to the experts. Props to those of you who are willing to try new things, of course! You inspire us so.
