The Aaron Sorkin inspired playlist you’ve always wanted is finally here!

Aaron Sorkin just won an award from the Writers Guild Association for making “outstanding contributions to the profession of the television writer”. The talented writer, probably best known for creating one of the best shows ever, The West Wing, accepted his award and delivered a speech to the Writers Guild of America befitting of the exceptional wordsmith that he is. And now he’s got his very own playlist!

The West Wing Weekly podcast, hosted by Josh Malina and Hrishikesh Hirway, is dedicated to re-watching episodes of The West Wing then speaking to guests who were involved with the TV show. Basically, it’s the greatest podcast ever. They’ve had guests that were writers, actors, costume designers, and more. Even Sorkin himself has been on the show!

On their most recent episode (discussing the Season 2 episode, “Bad Moon Rising”) the hosts of The West Wing Weekly decided to start a “Cool Sorkin Jams” playlist on Spotify, which they then shared with fans. Naturally, “Bad Moon Rising” is one of the tracks on the playlist.

Whether you know Sorkin from The West Wing, Sports Night, The Social Network, or one of his amazing scripts, you’ll probably enjoy this tribute to the writer. In case you were about to go make a suggestion, the vibes of the playlist are mostly “Dad Rock”, so keep that in mind. The playlist features artists such as The Who, Don Henley, Three Dog Night, The Beach Boys, and more bands that your dad (and apparently Aaron Sorkin) jams to on weekends.

Here are a few other suggestions fans have made on Twitter:
