Grab some cake and take a seat, because your first look at the new “Great British Bake Off” hosts is here
Last year, news broke that popular U.K. TV show — and every American’s Netflix favorite — The Great British Bake Off would be making some changes. Along with switching networks, from the BBC to Channel 4, The Great British Bake Off would be getting two new hosts and swapping out beloved Mary Berry with a new judge. So. Much. Change! And now we finally know what the new cast will look like.
The show shared a picture on Facebook of its new crew this week, writing, “Good things come to those who bake. The Great British Bake Off. Coming soon to Channel 4. #GBBO.” The image serves as our first official look at the new cast and features new hosts Noel Fielding and Sandy Toksvig, as well as new judge Prue Leith and returning judge Paul Hollywood. And while initial reports suggested we’d be waiting for new episodes of the show until 2018, the FB post has us thinking our sweet, guilty pleasure might be returning sooner rather than later.
It’s all so bittersweet, though, as fans of the show are still having a hard time accepting the loss of the world’s most charming hosting duo, Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins, since the pair hung up their aprons after Bake Off announced its network change back in September 2016.

On previous seasons, 12 happy have hopefuls entered the tent in the first episode, with one being eliminated each week following different challenges. Then, the final three bakers battled it out in the grand finale. With a whole new presenting team and a brand new judge, we’re hoping the show doesn’t change things up too much going forward — but only time will tell.
