Transform a few of your favorite sushi ingredients into a sweet-looking and yummy treat. Use beet juice to add a pink touch to rice, and use different toppings and dressings, like spicy mayo and cucumbers as the “icing” to your donut! With this customizable recipe, you can get creative and include as many of your favorite fixings as you would like. You’ll never want to eat sushi the same way again.

2 cups white rice
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons beet juice
Prepare sushi rice.
Cook rice as instructed.
Combine the rice vinegar, sugar, and beet juice into small bowl.
Heat in microwave for 30 seconds.
Transfer cooked rice into large bowl and then add vinegar mixture.
Once sushi rice is prepared and cooled, place into donut mold.
Refrigerate for 30 minutes to allow it to hold together.
Cover with seaweed.
Add toppings as desired and enjoy!
