You Decide: Are Tyler, the Creator’s Mountain Dew Ads Racist?

PepsiCo asked Tyler to create new ads for Mountain Dew. I’m not sure if someone over there didn’t properly research Tyler, the Creator’s well-documented history with controversy or they thought everyone had been desensitized by previous stunts, but almost as soon as the ads went up, Mountain Dew took them down.

The videos immediately were met with anger and shock. PepsiCo/Mountain Dew apologized in a statement saying that said they understood how the ad could be offensive.

I think this is pretty tame for Tyler, but I could see how someone not familiar with Tyler, the Creator/Felicia the Goat/Odd Future would be shocked.
