You can apparently get Uber credits by shopping at Whole Foods (and a ton of other stores)

Have you ever stuffed yourself with so many olives from the Whole Foods antipasto bar that the thought of having to walk home made you queasy? Fret not, Whole Foodies. You can apparently get free Uber credits by spending your money at Whole Foods. Your nauseous walk home just turned into a free comfy car ride.

Apparently, Uber hosts a Visa Local Offers program where customers can earn Uber credits by using their Visa card at featured stores — Whole Foods being one of them. To sign up, all one has to do is connect their Visa card to their Uber app, scroll down to “Visa Local Offers” messages in-app, and select ‘Get Started.’

Then, boom! You’re on your way to earning credits.

To figure out which businesses are partnered with Uber, check your Uber feed or tap Search to explore local businesses offering credit near you. Each store has their own terms and you’ll be able to check out those terms by tapping on the offer in-app.

Uber states there is no limit to the credits you can earn, but there is a limit of $100 in credits per purchase.

The Visa Local Offers program has been in effect in the United States since August 2017. According to an Uber press release, chains like Dunkin’ Donuts, Neiman Marcus, QDOBA Mexican Eats, Regal Cinemas, Steak ‘n Shake, Walgreens, Wingstop, Yard House, are all currently taking part in the program.

So now you can hop from Whole Foods to Walgreens and then to Dunkin’ to complete your weekly errands and rack up some Uber credits.

Uber has just given us another reason to go shopping, and for that, we are thankful. If you need us, catch us at the Whole Foods antipasto bar.
