YAASSSS: “The Amanda Show” is coming back
If you were a child of the ’90s, chances are you spent a lot of Saturday nights watching Snick. Shows like All That, Kenan and Kel, and The Amanda Show provided endless entertainment and laughs, and you’d probably do anything to get them back. Hold on to your TrapperKeepers, because our dreams are coming true: The Amanda Show is coming back!
Nickelodeon knows that ’90s nostalgia is very hot right now, so they’ve decided to give us exactly what we want. Nick is adding The Amanda Show to their impressive roster on the Splat (a programming block on TeenNick), which has already brought you some throwback goodies like Rugrats, All That, and Rocko’s Modern Life. Re-runs of The Amanda Show will begin airing on June 10th at 11 p.m. Cue the dancing lobsters!
When we were kids, we basically wanted to be Amanda Bynes. She was fun, fearless, and oh-so-hilarious. We’re confident we would have been BFFs with her back in the day. And, she was the leading lady of her own sketch comedy show (badass!).
The Amanda Show only ran for three seasons, but in that short time it gave us tons of memorable characters like Judge Trudy, Lula Mae, and Penelope Taynt. If you’ve never seen the show, you’re definitely in for a treat this summer.
All together now: Amanda, please!
