Your YA delivery service has arrived and it’s awesome
OwlCrate, a new company, so-named after the owl post from the Harry Potter series, is a business dedicated to introducing young readers to a host of new books. The company was started by two life-long bookworms, Robert and Korrina, and it works like this: each month, subscribers to OwlCrate will receive a mysterious box in the mail. Inside that box will be a newly released Young Adult novel and a whole host of other goodies that follow the theme of the month. Readers are encouraged to document the opening of their crates and share it with the OwlCrate community on social media.
Robert and Korrina founded the company in November of 2014, with the idea that “no one is too old to read YA.” Since then, they’ve sent out their first crate this month, and started prepping for April’s new crate. The theme? “All the Feels.”
Each box includes a YA novel published in the past 45 days (so you probably don’t already own it) along with jewelry, bookmarks, stickers, prints, toys, accessories, “and all sorts of wonderful randomness!”
To sign up for next month’s delivery, you can visit their website here to subscribe. You can also follow them on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. All we can say is, where has this been our entire lives?
