So, we were all wrong about Ariana Grande’s “Focus” look
Ariana Grande looks even more fierce than normal with her new platinum locks in “Focus,” but we bet you have no clue who’s to thank for her fab look. When it first debuted, the Internet went wild with claims that Ariana’s hair was inspired by Harry Potter villain, Lucius Malfoy. After releasing her new music video for her hit song “Focus,” though, the 22-year-old singer revealed her new ‘do is actually thanks to her grandmother!
On October 30, Ariana released her new video, which is pretty epic we might add, and her fans (and other celebs) were instantly obsessed with her video look. “Ummm… @ArianaGrande – you look GORGEOUS and sound amazing in your new vid…obsessed!!” Demi Lovato tweeted after seeing the new vid. We totally agree: Ariana looks fab.
Throughout the video, the Scream Queens star shows off her killer dance moves and amazing new look. We thought it was awesome when a Harry Potter character was believed to be Ariana’s hair inspo, but the fact that it’s actually her grandma? Well, that’s even better.
“I wanted to do my ponytail in white for a while, or in a different color. I actually was sitting opposite my Nonna and I was like, ‘Nonna, I love your white hair. It’s so beautiful,’” Ariana told Entertainment Tonight about her video hair switch up. Even though we LOVE the platinum locks in the video, it was just a wig, so you won’t see Ariana with blonde hair anytime too soon, but don’t count out the style completely for her.
“I think one day I would totally rock [blonde hair] if they come up with a miracle bleach that doesn’t destroy everything. I feel like every little project is just like a little character. … I definitely have been enjoying switching it up a little more,” she revealed.
