“Wreck-It Ralph 2” just got a release date so we can finally start counting down

Ever since the end of the first Wreck-It Ralph movie, we’ve been anxiously anticipating the next movie. Not just so we can find even more fun, hidden gems within the film, but also because Ralph and his world were so wonderful we need to see so much more of them. And now we know finally exactly when we’ll get to re-enter Ralph’s world and follow more heart-filled (and hilarious) digital-age adventures.

Just this morning, Disney confirmed exactly when Wreck-It Ralph 2 will be coming to theaters in a Facebook Live feed that featured the directors Phil Johnston and Rich Moore along with the voice of the main character, John C. Reilly. Reilly was the one lucky enough to revel the news that March 9, 2018 is when the next movie will be coming out. And from the look of the concept art they’ve released (along with a statement from Johnston), Ralph will be destroying (or at least breaking) the internet in the sequel.

The amount of talent already attached to this movie is staggering. Sarah Silverman, Mindy Kaling, and Jack McBrayer will all be returning to the film. Their comedic abilities combined with the incredible storytelling from the directing team who brought us Zootopia leaves us with no doubt that Ralph will totally wreak havoc on the box office in spring 2018.
