We very much want to hug this eternally worried cat

Meet Bum the rescue kitty. Named after Madison Bumgarner of the San Francisco Giants, Bum is all kinds of adorable. He’s actually SO adorable that it kind of breaks our hearts to look at his worried little face. I mean, see for yourself… (Prepare to be shattered. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.)

Bum’s pet-mom, Courtney Morman, told ABC News the secret behind her kitty’s adorably worried expression. “He just has perpetually crossed eyes. His eyes and lids are also shaped a little funny, but other than that, he’s totally fine. He’s been seen by a vet and nothing is wrong with him,” she said. In fact, Courtney believes Bum has awesome eyesight.

Courtney adopted Bum from the San Diego Humane Society‘s Oceanside office (where she also works) after a concerned citizen found him and his litter mates abandoned on the street. She told ABC she fell in love with him immediately. (We get it, Courtney. TRUST.) She said, “When I first saw him, I thought he was the cutest kitten ever, and his personality matched his silly looks.”

We love this special kitty and his unique looks. And we’re so glad he’s now living his best life at home with Courtney, where he not only has his own Instagram account, but also likes to hide in blankets…

Hang out in cardboard boxes…

And look dapper in neckties.

He can also rock a cat harness like nobody’s business.

We see you, Bum. We see you. And we’re bowing down to your cuteness.
