One of the world’s best wines is now available in the U.S. and you’ll never guess how much it costs
Welcome to wine o’clock, everyone! Wait, what’s that — we’re half-past late as hell, you say? Well, please accept our sincerest apologies in the form of these instructions on how to secure a bottle of award-winning wine for six bucks and some change. So, at $6.96, it’s actually closer to $7, but who cares? We’re talking about a cheap bottle of wine that also happens to be one of the world’s best. It’s a win-win sitch’ if we do say so ourselves.
According to Cosmo, the dreamy vino is La Moneda Reserva, an internationally touted Chilean Malbec sold at Walmart. The idea of making a(nother) trip to the booze aisle just became a little more enticing, huh?
The wine previously beat out the competition to earn “Best in Show” honors at the 2016 Decanter World Wine Awards in June, and now that’s finally stateside, we can’t wait to stock up it. La Moneda Reserva was previously sold exclusively at Walmart’s U.K. subsidiary but is now lining the shelves at 500 of the neighborhood chains across the U.S.
Ah, who else is feeling blessed to be alive and only a quick commute away from some cheap yet hella classy wine? Let’s hope our blessings are still in full force when we show up to buy bottles in bulk: The mouthwatering Malbec will only be available as long as supplies last.
