For World Mental Health Day, here’s how the beauty brand Philosophy is helping out
October 10th marks World Mental Health Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness about the invisible illnesses of depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and the full spectrum of mental health issues often swept under the rug in large cultural conversations.
As a way of spreading awareness and helping destigmatize mental health struggles, the beauty brand Philosophy has announced that its Hope and Grace Initiative will be expanding globally starting in 2018, and 1% of all its net sales worldwide will go towards the initiative.
Each year, the Hope and Grace Initiative gives multiple financial grants to local organizations that focus on promoting mental health and well-being for women, as well as funding prevention and treatment methods.
Currently, Philosophy donates 1% of all USA net profit sales towards this mental health initiative.
So if you’re looking to replace some beauty products and you want to help support mental health treatment, Philosophy is a brand to keep in mind.
Also, you’ll want to get your shopping in now, because Philosophy is holding a sale through October 13th.
