Lynda Carter might be in the “Wonder Woman” sequel, and please, please, please make this happen

As if you needed another reason to get pumped for the highly likely Wonder Woman sequel, we’ve got more great news for you.

The sequel hasn’t been officially confirmed by Warner Bros., but it might as well be a go. Patty Jenkins, Wonder Woman’s fierce director, is already working on an outline, and with the success of the first film, would Warner Bros. really be like, “No, Thanks?” We doubt it.

With that in mind, there’s a chance that the OG Diana Prince, Lynda Carter, will appear in round two, according to People — and yes, we are totally freaking out.

Carter was actually almost in the first film. As we know, that didn’t work out — but not for a lack of trying. And thankfully, there’s hope for her involvement going forward.

“We were trying to get me in the first one and we couldn’t make it work with our timing, she said. “It really is up to Patty, and if it works in an organic way it’ll be great fun and it’ll be wonderful to do."

She added, “Am I open to it? Absolutely. I ADORE Patty Jenkins, and it’ll be wonderful to do. But, we’ll just see how that goes.”

We’ll see, indeed, but preferably this works out because Carter and our new Wonder Woman, Gal Gadot, are just amazing together.

Remember how amazing it was seeing these two strong, wonderful women together at Wonder Woman‘s L.A. premiere? Exactly.

As for what Carter’s up to now, she hasn’t strayed too far from her superhero roots. The actress currently plays President Olivia Marsdin on CW’s Supergirl. So, let’s just hope she can set some time aside from that to make some movie magic with Jenkins and Gadot.
