The first trailer for “Wonder Wheel” is here, and Justin Timberlake and Kate Winslet are in trouble
Woody Allen’s new movie stars Kate Winslet, Jim Belushi, Juno Temple, and Justin Timberlake, which is reason enough to be excited about it. The film is called Wonder Wheel and, like much of Allen’s work, it feels very nostalgic. Namely, this one is set in Coney Island in the 1950s.
And it has the added drama of…the mob.
Here’s a bit more about the film via Amazon:
“Wonder Wheel tells the story of four characters whose lives intertwine amid the hustle and bustle of the Coney Island amusement park in the 1950s: Ginny (Kate Winslet), an emotionally volatile former actress now working as a waitress in a clam house; Humpty (Jim Belushi), Ginny’s rough-hewn carousel operator husband; Mickey (Justin Timberlake), a handsome young lifeguard who dreams of becoming a playwright; and Carolina (Juno Temple), Humpty’s long-estranged daughter, who is now hiding out from gangsters at her father’s apartment.”
Intriguing! To be honest, we’ll see anything with Timberlake in it because, like every other person with taste, we’ve been in love with him since the ’90s. And of course, Winslet is just about the best there is. So suffice to say, we’re stoked about this cast.
Wonder Wheel will premiere on October 14th as the closing-night film of the New York Film Festival.
And it’ll land in theaters on December 1st, just in time for awards season. Before all that, check out the trailer here:

We’re definitely looking forward to this picturesque setting and all of these amazing actors in the same very, very nostalgic movie.
