Women’s club The Wing is expanding, and it could be coming to a city near you
If you’ve been dying for a place to soak up needed #girlboss energy, get excited. Super-popular women-only social club The Wing is expanding to three new locations: Soho, Downtown Brooklyn, and Washington, D.C. Its flagship location, in New York City’s Flatiron district, currently has 650 members and a 3,000-woman waiting list — so this news is sure to make a lot of people happy.
The Wing, co-founded by former publicist Audrey Gelman, is inspired by the women-run social clubs of the 19th century that provided a space for women’s education, entrepreneurship, and relationship-building. The Wing offers much of the same, with space to work, eat, drink (all wine and cocktails are made by women!), pump breast milk, shower, and primp, along with a library stocked with books by women and all the millennial pink furniture and decor your heart desires.
