#WomanCard, Twitter’s response to Trump’s comment, is the funniest thing you’ll read all day
Donald Trump has accused Hillary Clinton of playing the “woman card” a couple of times during her campaign, most recently yesterday when he implied that the only reason she has supporters is because she’s a woman. (Yes, really.) As The Atlantic reports, Hillary quickly shut him down, saying, “Well, if fighting for women’s health care and paid family leave and equal pay is playing the woman card, then deal me in.”
The mud-slinging in politics is all too depressing to think about sometimes, so we’re grateful for the feisty feminist folks on Twitter who immediately hopped on the #WomanCard hashtag with their own responses.
Some pointed out the ridiculousness of saying that being a woman helps win the presidency, because, well, we’ve never had a woman president before:
