This woman embraces her facial birthmark with gorgeously artistic glitter makeup

When we heard about a woman who uses glitter to celebrate her facial birthmark, we definitely got excited. Is there a better combo than glitter and body-positivity? (You may not have realized, but we’re big fans of glitter here at HelloGiggles.)

Paige Billiot, a 24-year-old model and actress, has a port-wine stain that covers nearly half her face. Billiot says she spent the early part of her youth hiding her birthmark and trying to cover it up – until she realized something had to change.

“The first day at a new school, I asked the teacher if I could introduce myself. As hard as it was, I got up in front of the whole class, told them who I was and how I was different. I was finally able to breathe, and that’s when I noticed a big change. The bullying stopped almost completely. I realized that a lot of those harsh actions came from a place of fear of the unknown,” she wrote on her Tumblr.

Now, she's highlighting her "flaw" in the best possible way: With sparky, totally-gorgeous makeup.

Billiot recently partnered with Curvy Kate, a body-positive lingerie line (um, heck yes!). Her birthmark took center-stage during her shoot, gleaming with a stunning rose gold, metallic finish.

“Bow down to every imperfection and realize that it’s what makes you perfect,” she wrote on her Instagram, which has amassed more than 7,000 followers.
