This woman accidentally texted a stranger. And ended up marrying him.

Kacey Bergh was in Denver on a work trip and meant to send a text to a co-worker. Instead she texted Henry Glendening, a guy in her hometown of St. Louis.

“Hey, it’s Kasey,” Bergh texted, “I was supposed to connect with w Maria @ the park but her plane was delayed so I’m @ the Westin. Wanted to see if I could connect w anyone else…”

To this, Glendening responded, “Sorry you’ve go the wrong number. But if i wasn’t headed to work i’d be down to hang…”

And they just kept texting. Glendening asked Bergh if she had read The Secret, a definitive text for him that seemed to embrace the idea that perhaps something bigger had helped them connect in a seemingly random stray text.

“In my experience, a lot of people don’t believe in that kind of stuff,” Glendening told the St. Louis Dispatch. “They think the world is what it is and they feel the law of attraction is a silly belief.”

Bergh, who was 53 at the time, had gotten divorced six years earlier and had begun to accept the idea that she might not fall in love again. Glendening was 23. Bergh recalls being hesitant to tell him her age, but he tells the Dispatch, “It really didn’t make any difference. We were so connected at that point through deeper stuff.”
