There’s a reason we never saw Wolverine in yellow during the 9 X-Men movies
We’re beyond sad that Hugh Jackman has ended his run as Wolverine with Logan, which you can watch in theaters now. (Beware, it’s pretty gory and earned that R rating.) But, if you were expecting to see Wolverine in his yellow suit there’s a reason why it never happened and honestly, it makes complete sense.
Hugh Jackman has played Wolverine since the first X-Men film was released in 2000. That’s a whopping 17 years ago! And throughout that time, we’ve seen Logan in a bunch of different situations, but not in Wolverine’s yellow suit that he wears in the Marvel comics. Since Logan is Jackman’s last appearance as Wolverine, fans were hoping they’d get to see him in the suit finally. But sadly, it just doesn’t happen.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Hugh Jackman discussed why it ultimately didn’t work out:
“I get what they’re saying and if you could find a really cool way to do it. We flirted with it at one point with The Wolverine, the last one, but we just couldn’t find a way to do it and be in keeping with the tone of the film. Sorry, guys.
So, no yellow suit. And while we’re disappointed, it makes total sense. There certainly hasn’t been a time in the last few Wolverine stand-alone films where it felt like the right fit. And it certainly wouldn’t have worked at any point during Logan.
It seems like some fans on Twitter are desperate to see Wolverine don his yellow suit too. At least, at some point.
Wolverine in his classic suit. (yellow/blue or brown/tan) Is that too much to ask?!

false false
You can see the latest (and final) film with Hugh Jackman as Wolverine in theaters now. It’s called Logan and just try not to cry the last time you see Jackman’s Wolverine on screen. I dare you!
