Woah, Khloe Kardashian’s denim line just made history

Count this news as reason number 5,689 that the Kardashian/Jenner clan knows its way around a business venture. Khloe Kardashian’s denim line, Good American, which carries high-end denim in sizes 00 to 24, apparently made history when it launched in October: It’s the first denim line to ever rake in $1 million in sales on launch day. No other denim label has ever sold that much that fast.

We’ll pause here for applause.

The denim line, which made its debut on October 18th after teasing fans on social media for weeks before, offered three initial fits: Good Legs (skinny); Good Cuts (tailored boyfriend); and Good Waist (high-waisted skinny). The Good Waist style has since sold out twice, so clearly fans are loving the made-in-L.A. brand.

Kardashian and her co-founder, Emma Grede, have said their goal is to create jeans that flatter curves and make every woman feel beautiful. “Making curves look good is not just something we say, it’s a demand our product has to deliver for our customers,” said Grede in a press release. “We eat and sleep fit. Khloe and I believe passionately in creating the full size range and marketing our brand using a diverse mix of amazing women.”

Added Kardashian,

"What's really encouraging is the customer response. When people try the jeans they fall in love. The reviews speak for themselves and that's something I am really proud of."

One of the things we love most about the brand is its commitment to showcasing women of diverse body types in all advertising. For example, Good American brought on plus-size fashion blogger and designer Gabi Gregg as part of its initial #GoodSquad, a move that had us standing up and cheering.
