“Game of Thrones” just lost the most badass character, and Twitter is giving them a proper send-off

There are spoilers ahead for the latest Game of Thrones episode, “The Queen’s Justice.” If you haven’t watched it yet, shoo. If you haven’t watched it yet and conveniently have an hour to spare right now, it’s on HBO Go right this second.

For those who have watched it, you know we lost the most baddest beyotch of all the Seven Kingdoms. Pour one out for Lady Olenna Tyrell, who seriously went out in an ? EPIC BLAZE OF GLORY ?.

Oh, did you think that drinking some poison was a boring way to die in Westeros? Not if you are Lady Olenna. With what are presumably, her final breaths, she reminded Jaime Lannister that she was actually playing the great game *the best* for the past few seasons, and with one final line of dialogue, solidified herself as simply *the best*. Miss you already, Lady O.

Before we get to her epic reveal to Jaime, let’s take a quick trip down memory lane. Think back to Season 4 and the Purple Wedding — aka, the wedding where Joffrey dies. At the time, it was very hectic and confusing and even we, as the viewers, didn’t exactly know who had poisoned Joffrey’s drink. Cersei immediately blamed Tyrion, and put him on trial for his death, REMEMBER? This was also when Sansa was able to escape from King’s Landing — so see, lots of good came from his death (sorry, Joff).

Viewers were later clued in that Lady Olenna had poisoned his drink, because Joffrey was being a ‘lil b to bride-to-be, Margaery.

While we’ve always known the truth about Joffrey’s death, the Lannisters had no idea, and currently, still blame Tyrion. Well, not anymore. After drinking the poison, Olenna drops a major bombshell:

"I hate to die like your son, clawing at my neck, foam and bile spilling form my mouth, eyes blood red, skin purple. Must have been horrible for you as a King's Guard, as a father. It was horrible enough for me, a shocking scene, not at all what I intended. You see, I'd never seen the poison work before. Tell Cersei, I want her to know it was me."

We will miss you dearly Lady Olenna, first of her name, queen of all shade and thrones.
