The “Will & Grace” revival hasn’t even aired yet, but it’s already been renewed

Get ready for even more Will & Grace! After 11 years away, Will (Eric McCormack), Grace (Debra Messing), Jack (Sean Hayes), and Karen (Megan Mullally) are returning to NBC with a revival season on September 28th.

And though Will & Grace has yet to make its grand return, the network has already renewed the revival for Season 2!

That’s Season 10 for the series as a whole, and it’ll be 13 episodes long. But the good news — all of which was announced at the Television Critics Association summer press tour — doesn’t stop there. The season ahead was just expanded for the second time, and will now be 16 episodes. (It started as 10, then went to 12, and is now 16.)

Not to mention, that season just got a new promo.

The promo shows the Fab Four back together, looking back on old times and ahead to new ones. At one point Jack says, “Brad and Angelina announced their divorce the same week my relationship ends? Selfish!” Yep, it’s the same show we love, just in modern times. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0aSzkUxVEdg

In the sneak peek, we also see Will, Grace, and Karen discuss politics, and the cast adorably reunites off camera. Their excitement is palpable and, um, same.

When asked about the decision to move forward with Season 2, the cast and crew pointed to the recent table read. “We all came together and read and it felt like coming home,” Messing said at the tour.

“We laughed so hard. For the last year, it’s been a confusing time and I haven’t laughed very much, and to come back together and to laugh out loud and to be surprised by one another and to have new stories to tell and to have another opportunity to do it, it’s a no-brainer.

We seriously like the sound of that, and can’t wait for the new season to finally air.
