Amy Schumer is a pro at making people laugh. But she’s also great at making them smile. The comedic actress has garnered a reputation for being extremely generous. And she recently opened up about why she’s so free with her finances.

The hilarious Amy Schumer explained she always leaves big tips, and her reasoning is not a joke.

During a recent interview with Howard Stern, Amy reminisced about before she was famous.

"I worked in the service industry for ten years," she said.

So if anyone knows how grueling the work can be, it’s Amy.

And she isn’t kidding when she says she leaves generous tips. The funny lady always leaves well over the expected tip amount.

She shared that she definitely has more money than she ever did before. The massive success of her first breakout movie, Trainwreck, combined with her hit TV show, Inside Amy Schumer, brought the performer to a new level of stardom. And now with Snatched hitting theaters on Mother’s Day, we’ll be seeing even more Amy (which is just fine by us).

As her star continues to rise, there are plenty of opportunities for work.

But the entertainer retains a pretty grounded perspective despite all the craziness that surrounds her.

Of course she’s got money. But she goes out of her way to use it to make others smile.

"I think I might feel guilty about having money if I wasn’t giving," she said. "It’s because it does make me feel great and I feel like I have no other choice."

She also believes that the joy that she spreads with her generosity helps make the world a happier place.

“I think [other celebrities] should do more, because you’ll feel better. And then they’ll do that for someone else, you hope,” she said.

If we were all a little more like Amy, we could make this world a much better place.
