Your Whole Foods grocery bill is about to get cheaper, but there’s one small catch

If you’re a big fan of Whole Foods but not its prices, you’re going to love this news. Amazon Prime members are now qualified for all kinds of discounts when you shop at Whole Foods, which means you may not have to call it Whole Paycheck anymore. This is a huge development, y’all: According to a press release from Amazon, starting Wednesday, June 27th, Prime member savings are rolling out at all Whole Foods Market and Whole Foods Market 365 stores across the country, and they can add up to some seriously deep discounts.

Not only will members get 10% off certain sales items, but they’ll also be entitled to discounts on other select items as well. The press release lists several items that are now discounted, including 5/$5 mochi ice creams, baby back ribs for $4.99/lb, and 25% off all bulk items, such as nuts, dried fruit, and granola. Pretty sweet deal, right?

To get your Whole Foods discount, here’s what you have to do after you’ve signed up for Prime:

Download the Whole Foods app and sign into your Amazon account. Then, at check out, you just have to scan your Prime code. If that’s not simple enough, and you don’t want to use the app, you can also use your phone number at checkout to look up your Prime account.

“Since launching Prime savings at Whole Foods Market, we’ve seen excitement and momentum from both Prime members and our supplier partners,” Whole Foods president A.C. Gallo said. “Our weekly Prime member deals are a hit and we’re excited that Prime members across the U.S. will now be able to take advantage of these savings in our stores.”

You can find the deals at Whole Foods on Amazon’s Prime Savings page, which really makes the whole thing super easy. And best of all, you don’t have to shop in store to get the discount, either. Prime members can get the same discounts by shopping through Prime Now when they get their groceries delivered from Whole Foods.

This sounds like a total game-changer to us, and if you haven’t signed up for Prime by now, this might be the push you need to finally get a membership.
