Who is Danny Fujikawa, aka, the father of Kate Hudson’s third child?

If you’re a pop-culture aficionado (or are as obsessed with How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days as we are), then you’ve no doubt already heard that actress Kate Hudson is pregnant with her third child (and first daughter!) — a fact she revealed to the world today, April 6th, on Instagram. Hudson is having the new baby with boyfriend Danny Fujikawa.

Which may lead many of you to now ask: Who is Danny Fujikawa? Don’t worry. We got you.

Fujikawa is a musician, and was previously the singer and guitarist for the L.A.-based folk-rock band Chief. He’s also the first person Hudson was linked to romantically after she broke up with fiancé and Muse frontman Matt Bellamy in December 2014 after four years together. Fujikawa owns his own record label Lightwave Records, which he co-founded in 2013.

Hudson and Fujikawa made their first public appearance together in May 2017 at the Snatched premiere. At the time, Hudson told Extra, “He’s the best. He’s a good man.”

Hudson also posted a quick video from her gender reveal party today, and the love and excitement for this next chapter in their lives is palpable.
