Where to stream “The Post,” because the Oscars are almost here!

The 90th Academy Awards are this weekend!. So if you’re hoping to watch a few of this year’s Oscar-nominated films, it’s not too late. In fact, some are still in theaters – and The Post, starring Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks, is one of them.

Not only is it a must-see, but if you were a fan of films like Spotlight or The President’s Men then you’ll likely love The Post.

Set in 1971 and based on a true story, this hard-hitting historical drama is about The Washington Post‘s decision to publish a top-secret government study on Vietnam despite pressure from the government to keep it concealed. It deals with the concept of freedom of the press — which unfortunately makes it extremely relevant in today’s “fake news” culture.

But can you stream it online?

Unfortunately, The Post isn’t available for streaming just yet. However, you can pre-order it from Amazon so that you can own it as soon as possible (though Amazon admittedly doesn’t provide an exact release date).

The Steven Spielberg-directed film features an all-star ensemble cast and was also nominated for two Academy Awards — one for Best Picture and another for Best Actress in a Leading Role (Meryl Streep).

The Post is definitely one of those films you’re going to wish you had seen before the 2018 Oscars air on Sunday, March 4th at 8 p.m. ET on ABC (and is also perfect for the U.S. history buffs in your life!)

So get watching!
