When will Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen meet on “Game of Thrones”? We may FINALLY know.

Since they are perhaps the two most important and adored characters of Game of Thrones, the fact that Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen have never met is truly unacceptable. Yet, some photos from the set of Game of Thrones Season 7 may just prove that’s all about to change and we can barely contain our excitement. Major spoilers for Season 7 of Game of Thrones ahead!

Remember the joy you felt when Daenerys and Tyrion Lannister first met and then became buddies? Well, get ready for that to infinitely increase since this sneaky set photo and video posted on Instagram seem to indicate that Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke’s characters are going to cross paths in Season 7.

Seriously, how are we supposed to wait for Season 7 with images like this circulating the Internet?

For those of you who want to doubt what you’re seeing, then let me use logic to convince you that’s Daenerys’ unmistakable silvery-blonde mane and Jon’s beard and cloak in the above photo. Daenerys was last seen traveling to Westeros with Tyrion, Theon, and Yara on a fleet of ships. And Jon left the Wall and successfully took back the North from Ramsay Bolton. So this is the first time that a Jon-Daenerys meeting has even been plausible — and pretty much mandatory.

If Tyrion got wind of what Jon has been up to, it’s easy to assume that Daenerys’ Hand to the Queen would encourage her to meet with Jon to form an alliance to take the Iron Throne from Cersei.

And based on the video from the set, they certainly appear to be talking business.

The other connections between these fan-favorite characters also make them meeting up next season a no-brainer. Sansa is with Jon and is still technically married to Tyrion. Neither Sansa nor Jon should harbor any resentment toward this Lannister since he treated both of them well in the past. Then you have the fact that Theon saved Sansa and grew up with the Starks.

Not to mention, that itty-bitty detail that Jon was revealed to actually be Rhaegar Targaryen’s son in the Season 6 finale — which makes him Daenerys’ nephew.

So yeah, seeing Dany being approached by Jon is a HUGE deal since Daenerys and Jon were literally born to be allies and rule over Westeros. But please, let’s stop ‘shipping these Game of Thrones characters. I’m all about them forming an alliance, but they are aunt and nephew after all — even if they don’t know it yet.
