When is the sequel to the iPhone X coming? Sooner than you think
We’ve been hearing rumblings of a new iPhone launch for a few months, and now it looks like our Apple-inspired dreams are coming true sooner than expected. Apple is planning to release three new iPhones (as a sequel to the iPhone X) in September 2018 — which is only six months away!
The launch is said to include the largest iPhone ever, a new iPhone X, and a more affordable iPhone (since the iPhone X was around $1,000 and people were not happy about it).
Just how large will the largest iPhone be? If industry rumblings are true, the screen will measure close to 6.5 inches (the current iPhone X is 5.8 inches) with a display resolution of 2688 x 1242. The bigger size is ideal for business types who use their phones for emails and spreadsheets (just don’t go calling it a “phablet” — that’s a Samsung term, okay?).
The “cheaper” iPhone will reportedly use LCD technology and will feature an aluminum frame instead of stainless steel, as well as a glass back in place of the traditional steel back. It’s estimated to cost between $700 and $800, which isn’t exactly thrifty but is a few hundred dollars less than the original iPhone X.
Apple is also considering offering a dual-SIM card option for the larger model, which is pretty much a godsend for those who use their phones in countries with different carrier plans. No more swapping out cards!
All three new iPhones will reportedly use an updated operating system, which will most likely be called iOS 12, in addition to Face ID for authentication.

And as for the most important info of all — what will be the color of the new iPhones? Rumor has it that Apple’s working on a gold options for the new devices as an additional choice along with the black and white/silver options of the X. (RIP, rose gold.)
