What is the “Sunfare Cleanse,” aka the cleanse Kim Kardashian’s currently doing?

If you follow health news/have access to the internet, then you’ve undoubtedly heard of a little thing called a “cleanse.” A short scroll through Instagram will reveal bloggers showing off their clean lifestyles with #juicecleanse and #detox. And now resident trendsetter Kim Kardashian seems to be all about the “Sunfare Cleanse.”

If you follow Kim on social or subscribe to her app, then you’ll know she recently opened up about her decision to try it. “I have the Met Gala coming up and I’ve worked so hard working out, but I started eating a lot of sweets and I wanted to just change my food patterns to eat healthier and cut sugar out of my life as much as I can,” she explained on her blog on April 20th. She also clarified that she’s not trying it for promotional purposes — she’s genuinely just into it (though of course, we can’t be totally sure of that…).

"I wanted to do this cleanse because the food looked so filling and there are only three days that you just drink liquids," she wrote, adding, "This is seriously not a sponsored thing, I just really wanted to try it. I'll keep you updated on how I like it."

But what exactly is the Sunfare Cleanse?

We got you. The Sunfare Cleanse is a 10 day detox meal program created by an L.A.-based company that focuses on breaking addictions to caffeine and sugar, boosting the metabolism, and detoxifying the liver and fat cells. The cleanse is mainly composed of herbal teas, nutrient-filled shakes and meals like salmon salad, guacamole, veggie chips, and butternut squash. On days four through six you only consume herbal teas and shakes, and all food is provided.

A Sunfare rep told E! that the cleanse has "become a go-to solution for many of our clients to get ready for roles, shows, or big events...or just to kind of take a break and reset."

The 10-day option costs you $650, and there’s also a five-day option for $375. Both options include breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and two to three snacks (and while it’s definitely not cheap, we’re honestly kind of surprised it’s not even more expensive considering it’s Kim-worthy).

If you’re interested in the cleanse, you can find out more details on the Sunfare site here. Just make sure to consult your doctor or healthcare professional before making any major changes to your routine.
