Today we officially meet the ‘Wet Hot American Summer’ camp counselors
Are you guys ready for summer camp?? Don’t worry, this camp won’t require us to actually leave the comforts of our own home, or partake in any sort of camp-related activities. But when roll call happens at Camp Firewood on July 31st, we’ll be there. That’s when Netflix’s newest original series, Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp drops onto the streaming site, and we are READY.
To get us even MORE ready for this first day back, Netflix has been sending out possibly the best ’80s VHS videos ever. And today, we finally get to meet the Wet Hot American Summer camp counselors who will be joining us, and responsible for us, since they’re the 16 and 17-year-olds this summer. Some are old familiar faces, while there are a few new ones, too.
We’ve got Beth (Janeane Garofalo) who is everyone’s favorite camp director.
Susie (Amy Poehler) wants you to bring your A-game to all Camp Firewood stage productions.
Gail (Molly Shannon) is going to help you master arts and crafts, and hopefully not cry into any pottery wheels.
Lindsay (Elizabeth Banks) cares so much about the campers and is here to have the best summer ever!
Plus, there’s Katie (Marguerite Moreau), who’s the cool counselor you can go to for all feminine hygiene related questions.
And don’t forget the boy’s head counselor, Greg (played by Wet Hot American Summer newbie, Jason Schwartzman). He reminds us that we shouldn’t be afraid of him…?
Basically, this looks like it’s going to be the best summer of our LIVES. Be sure to bring enough bug spray.
