HBO just released a new “Westworld” trailer, and we’re equal parts excited and terrified
Consider us ready for October to get here. If you’ve been keeping track of new shows for fall, then you’ve undoubtedly been looking forward to HBO’s creepy new sci-fi series Westworld.
And we’ve got some good news for you, because a new trailer has just been released. YES! Take a look (and ps- NSFW!):

This latest trailer gives us way more insight into what we’ll actually be getting in Season 1. From the looks of it, evil genius Anthony Hopkins has designed an entire fantasy world full of robots for human pleasure, but (as it always seems to go), the robots start…misbehaving.
The trailer also seems to verify that Evan Rachel Wood will be a main — if not the main — character, and is definitely on Team Robot.
And fun fact, the show is a remake of a 1973 film written and directed by sci-fi legend Michael Crichton. Take a look at the original trailer for some old-timey robot goodness!

The show’s produced by J.J. Abrams and written by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy Nolan (Person of Interest, Pushing Daises), and the all-star cast includes Thandie Newton, Evan Rachel Wood, Anthony Hopkins, James Marsden and so many others.
So…meet us on the couch in October?
