A “Westworld” and “Game of Thrones” crossover is apparently possible and our minds are BLOWN

HBO has been creating some incredible original programming lately. And the network’s newest hit show, Westworld, has already got millions of people already invested and dissecting every little detail for possible meanings and clues. Much like HBO’s other mega-hit, Game of Thrones, there’s clearly a lot more than meets the eye when it comes to what is actually happening behind-the-scenes of this fascinating world.

But what might happen if you were able to somehow crossover the fascinating characters and intricate storylines of the two epic shows?

Is that even possible? Or would we all just immediately malfunction from the TV glory?

Apparently, Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, the show creators of Westworld have not just met GoT mastermind, George R.R. Martin. They’ve actually discussed that very idea.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the Westworld creators had dinner with Martin who talked about the possibility of incorporating other worlds into the fantasy theme park. As in, Westros could be Westworld’s neighboring theme park. And, the thing is, Nolan didn’t exactly ~deny~ that it’s possible.

He said, "[Geroge R.R. Martin is] a lovely guy and a stunning writer and it’s flattering he would encourage a crossover. We should be so lucky."

Sure, that’s not a clear commitment. But it’s enough of a juicy tidbit for us to daydream about.

The other Westworld show creator had only one small issue with Westeros existing in a false reality (if that is how they choose to have the worlds overlap).

Joy said, "I need to be believe that dragons are real. I want them be a real thing. So as much as I love George, I can’t lose that for myself!"

We totally understand where she’s coming from.

While both show creators are leaving much mystery and suspense around the future possibilities of their fantastical worlds colliding (which, to be fair, is their style), we can’t help but be intrigued by the idea.
