This Billy Crystal “Westworld” parody is here to help save 2017

Everybody on earth has seen HBO’s new hit show Westworld, and as such, we feel it our duty to make sure that everybody has also seen Funny or Die’s Westworld parody starring Billy Crystal.

Not only is the parody significantly more entertaining than Westworld, but even as a comedy sketch it has what is arguably a more comprehensible and less annoyingly fake deep plotline. Sorry, JUST SAYING.

Billy Crystal plays a host named Mitchie the Kid (hey, that names sounds vaguely familiar! Because that’s Billy Crystal’s character from City Slickers!) who’s being dealt with by Luke Hemsworth for malfunctioning, but it turns out he’s just so fed up with his side kick, Phil, that he can’t stop himself from shooting him. Some of us (cough) felt the same way toward basically every character on Westworld, so we can only hope that watching this sketch is as cathartic for you as it was for us.

Also — how could you POSSIBLY pass up a comedy sketch starring Billy Crystal? What a gif. Thank you, Funny or Die.

Probably the best part of the whole video is where Mitchie and Phil are arguing around the fire, and when Phil copies Mitchie, Mitche’s all like, god, Phil, be your own person, and Phil — typical Phil — is like…

"What kind of man do you think I should be?"

And then Mitchie shoots him and replies:

"A dead one."

Again, such RELATABLE feelings — we definitely had that thought a few times while the Westworld hosts were debating their sentience. Really, though, regardless of your opinions about Westworld or whether you’ve seen it or not, this Funny or Die sketch his hilarious, and definitely worth a watch.
