Wes Anderson just announced his star-studded new movie “Isle of Dogs,” AND it’s animated!
There are some filmmakers who just knock it out of the park every single time, and one of those people is Wes Anderson. AKA the guy who brought The Royal Tenenbaums, Rushmore and Moonrise Kingdom into our lives (among many others). And hey, we’ve got good news for fans. Drumroll please!
Entertainment Weekly let us know that Wes Anderson’s latest film is called Isle of Dogs, and it’s animated! And yes, it is about dogs!
And the dogs will be voiced by our favorite people; Bill Murray, Scarlet Johansson, Greta Gerwig, Tilda Swinton, Bryan Cranston, Frances McDormand, Edward Norton…and the list literally goes on. Yup, all our Christmas’s just came at once in a big, animated package.
If you saw Anderson’s other non-human film, Fantastic Mr. Fox, you’ll remember that the animation was incredibly expressive and playful…
…so we can’t wait to see how he tackles these dogs. Actually, want a quick look at Norton’s character, a dog named Rex? Anderson shared one!
If you’re a mega-fan of animated movies, or Wes Anderson, or just…dogs, this next piece of info might be up your alley:
Anderson is offering a fan the chance to go to London and voice one of the dog characters!
For real. You can enter the draw by donating $10 on Crowdrise. Just note the deadline is in 40 days. Yeah that’s a long time, but with Christmas coming up…it’s really not.
We can’t wait to see Isle of Dogs when it comes out (no date yet), and in the meantime…binge of awesome Wes Anderson movies? We think ummmm YES OBVIOUSLY.
