All the things we cannot wait to do this month

At the beginning of every summer, we swear that this will be the year we make the most of the season. We compile a bucket list, heat be damned, and swear we’re going to squeeze every last drop out of summer possible. But inevitably, by the time September rolls around, we marvel at how quickly things went by and wonder where the time went.

Summer is happening, people, and it’s not too late to make the most of it. So from this moment forward, we’re pledging to do it up big. Whether you’ve been a summer warrior or a summer slacker, there’s still time to seize the day. In the spirit of adventure, these are all the things we cannot WAIT to do this month!

1. Take a day (or weekend) trip with your BFFs.

If you live in the country, pack your bags for the city. If you live in a city, head for the hills. It’s important to refresh your routine every once and a while, and to surround yourself with a change of scenery. Taking a day or two away in a new setting will re-ignite your zest for life and get your creative juices flowing in new ways. Plus, it’s just nice to get away every once and a while, even if just for a few hours. Road trip!

2. Eat in season with Wendy’s.

Part of making the most of summer includes making the most of your diet. We’re pledging to eat more sweet fruits and luscious vegetables while they’re at their peak, and we know just where to start: with Honest Tropical Green Tea and FruiTea Chillers from Wendy’s.

FruiTea Chillers are an easy way to add more seasonal freshness to your everyday routine. And oh, the flavors! Blueberry Pineapple is made with real blueberry puree and real pineapple, and Orange Mango boasts real mango puree and real orange juice. That’s a lot of realness. The only thing you’ll have to decide is which one to order first.

3. Find a new favorite hobby.

If there’s something you’ve always been wanting to try, now is the time to go for it. So ask yourself: What’s your secret passion? Try your hand at painting, learn a new language, or take an improv class. Knitting in the summer might seem counterproductive, but by the time winter rolls around, you’ll be fully prepared with homemade hats, scarves, and sweaters.4. Read all the books.

When was the last time you really, truly lost yourself in a book? When it was just you and the text, without any outside interruptions? Our summer reading list is crazy long, and we’re going to reserve a day to sit in one spot and do nothing but read. All. Day. Long.

5. Switch up your workout routine.

Summer is all about switching things up. And if you’re going to work up a sweat when it’s already sweltering outside (seriously, kudos), you might as well make it fun. Swap out your yoga mat for a swim cap. Ditch your running shoes and go barefoot for Tai Chi. Ever wanted to try one of those aerial trapeze classes? Go forth swinging, my friend! You never know—you might fall in love with a whole new routine.
